About Us
Palatka High School
is located in Putnam County, and serves the Palatka and East Palatka areas. Our current student enrollment is about 1,300, drawing students from Jenkins Middle School.

Students attend classes six periods a day, taking a wide variety of courses, including dual enrollment courses at St Johns River State College. PHS offers Honors and AP courses and a variety of elective classes including Art, Desktop Publishing, and Journalism. Florida Virtual School is also an option for students.

Our athletic program is highly competitive and we pride ourselves on outstanding sportsmanship. Our school colors are Blue and Yellow and our school Mascot is the Florida Panther.

PHS opened its doors in 1977 after merging two existing schools - Palatka Central and Palatka South. In recent years, the campus has been renovated with new classrooms, science labs, performing arts area, and cafeteria.

Guarded by the river's bending flow ever free

Just as we at childhood's ending flow now forth from thee

refrain

Sing for thee Palatka High, raise your voices to the sky

Ever fondly we'll remember, Our Palatka High!
